Our newest instrument is a
Humphrey FTD Visual Field Analyzer. This instrument is able to
detect subtle defects in peripheral vision which may indicate a
serious medical condition. It is specifically designed for early
detection of glaucoma. Additionally, it can detect more serious
conditions such as tumors, hemorrhages, retinal detachments and
possible systemic medical conditions such as diabetes, multiple
sclerosis and strokes. We administer this test as part of our
comprehensive routine exam, as well as, when a specific problem is
suspected.
