Contact Lens Exams

The contact lens examination is an examination in addition to the comprehensive eye exam with certain tests directly related to the eye’s ability to wear contact lenses.

In order for a patient to determine whether or not he/she can wear contact lenses, it is necessary to have a contact lens examination. If a patient already wears contact lenses, it is important to have an annual contact lens evaluation in addition to their comprehensive eye exam. The prescription for your eyeglasses is not the same as your contact lens prescription.
